Fuhrmann Global helps American families establish European citizenship and relocation pathways through descent, ancestry, and other heritage-based routes.
A passport you may never need to use is still worth holding. For this generation and the next.
Each European country has its own rules, its own paperwork, and its own quirks. We focus deeply on four where the descent pathways are most navigable for American families.
European citizenship is one pathway. Visa-based relocation is another. Our companion service supports families exploring digital nomad routes, EU Blue Card, freelance visas, and the broader work of planning a European move.
Every engagement begins with a conversation. Whether you're exploring a possibility or ready to begin in earnest, there's a starting point that fits.
A direct, focused conversation to identify whether you likely have a viable descent pathway, and which countries are worth pursuing.
A deep-dive session for families ready to seriously explore one or more pathways, with a written summary of recommendations.
End-to-end document procurement, certified translations, apostilles, and coordination through to consulate or court submission.
Everything in the portfolio service, plus comprehensive planning and support for the move itself once citizenship is established.
A focused 30-minute call to understand your family history and identify which pathways are realistically available to you.
A written summary of options, document requirements, realistic timelines, and an honest assessment of complexity and cost.
Document gathering, translation, apostilles, and coordination through to your submission — and the relocation, when you're ready.
Fuhrmann Global is led by Justin Fuhrmann, a dual American and German citizen who obtained his German citizenship through descent. The work is personal before it is professional.
"I didn't set out to build a business. I started telling friends how I'd obtained my dual citizenship, and so many of them wanted to do the same but had no idea where to begin or felt overwhelmed by the process. This practice exists for anyone who finds themselves in that situation."
Justin holds a Juris Doctor from Villanova University and has spent over a decade at a professional services firm in Arlington, Virginia, where he leads project teams that translate dense regulation into actionable guidance for clients. He does not practice immigration law in the US or any EU country, but the same skills carry directly into citizenship-by-descent work. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Arlington County Transportation Commission and President of the Columbia Forest Civic Association.

A 30-minute paid call is the most efficient way to know whether your family has a real pathway, and which countries are worth pursuing. The $49 cost becomes a credit if you decide to engage further.
